Workshops for law firms

Tools to lower stress, sharpen focus, and avoid burnout.

I teach your lawyers to regulate, focus, and perform. A 90-minute workshop, led by a lawyer.

Why I teach this

I was told a little anxiety just meant I cared.

For years I ran my legal career in overdrive. Push, deliver, crash. The crashes lasted weeks, sometimes months. I tried cutting coffee, reading every book, meditating. I understood what was happening. I still couldn't change it.

Breathwork was the first thing that worked. Now when I feel stress, I know exactly how to shift out of it.

Now I teach lawyers science-based breath practices to reduce stress and improve focus.

Why now

Nearly half of lawyers report high burnout.

A 2026 ABA study of about 37,000 lawyers found 47% screened for high burnout, and more than 1 in 4 had considered leaving the profession because of mental health, burnout, or stress.

A small investment of time

90 minutes buys tools that take one to five minutes and work right at the desk, before a hearing, after a hard call, every day after.

Felt before they leave

Mostly practice, not a lecture. Your team feels the difference in their bodies, which is why the tools actually get used.

One step against a costly problem

Burnout shows up as missed details, short tempers, and slow recoveries. This is a low-cost way to start addressing it.

What your team walks away with

Better focus, calmer nervous systems, healthier teams.

Know your state

Recognize how stress shows up in your body and mind, so you can catch it before it takes over.

Focus and perform

Breathing practices to sharpen focus and bring your best thinking to the hearing, the deal, or the hard conversation.

Recovery before burnout

Breath tools to settle stress in the moment, and the regular recovery that keeps the push from turning into burnout.

What we cover

  1. The three statesA practical map of what your body does under pressure, and how each state feels at your desk.
  2. Focus and performanceWhy stress sharpens you up to a point, and weakens judgment after it.
  3. The cost of getting stuckShort bursts of stress are healthy. Never coming back down is what wears people out.
  4. A flexible nervous systemThe goal isn't to avoid stress. It's to move through it with resilience and recover faster.
  5. Live Experience Exercises to teach your team powerful and efficient breathing tools you can use the same afternoon.

The idea behind it

The breath is your remote. Now you learn the buttons.

The goal was never to switch performance off. It's to turn it up when the work needs it and down when it doesn't. Your team leaves knowing which button to press, and when.

Common questions

What firms usually ask first.

Will my lawyers roll their eyes at this?

It's taught by a lawyer, in plain language, sitting in a chair. The practice does the convincing.

Does anyone have to share anything?

No. Nobody talks about their stress unless they want to, and on Zoom cameras can stay off. What people notice stays with them.

Is it safe?

These are simple, everyday breathing practices done seated. Anyone can ease off or sit out any part at any time.

Can you do a shorter version?

Yes. A 60-minute version works well for bar associations and lunch-and-learns. Same science and practices, less time.

About Brian

A lawyer who learned to listen to his body.

I'm an attorney and a breathwork facilitator, certified through BreathingCold in Bali. Division 1 athlete, top scores in law school, always achieving. Underneath, I was running on stress and crashing hard.

I trained while living in Bali and started facilitating group sessions there. Now I bring this work to high-performers, and to the profession I know best.

“The breathwork brought me back to center. From there, everything feels more manageable, and my sleep was deeper the week after the session.”
Helen, attorney
